Lifeword Sunday 2020 Offerings Are Coming In

On November 15, 2019, the Lifeword team had already set a date for Lifeword Sunday 2020 with no expectation that preparations for it would be different from any other year.  Lifeword Sunday 2019 contributions were coming in, Senior Adult Conference was over, and Thanksgiving was less than a week away. In our wildest dreams, we could not have anticipated what would happen just four months later:

After the BMA Global Missions Center was shut down and we went home, Lifeword team members found out that Zoom is more than just a 1970s TV show on PBS! It’s the new way of connecting with each other. As the team met, there was a lot of discussion about possible effects of the virus, especially in three ways:

Personally: How lethal was it? How long would the virus and shutdowns last?

Globally: How would our global partners be affected and how could we help them?

Economically: What would the financial effects be on Lifeword’s ministry?

But in the following months God took care of all those issues:

Regular contributions continued.

Lifeword Sunday 2020 preparations went as planned.

God worked and continues to work in mighty ways.

So even though 2020 has been a difficult year for individuals and churches, Lifeword Sunday 2020 offerings are coming in, and we couldn’t be more humbled and appreciative of your giving. Your generosity and prayers have been a blessing and encouragement to our entire team.

Executive Director Donny Parrish says, “Lifeword Sunday is so crucial to the global impact of Lifeword! Thank you to those church families and individuals who invest in Lifeword through prayer and giving during Lifeword Sunday. Your investment will allow millions around the world the opportunity to hear the life-giving message of Jesus

“To those Team Lifeword members who take it on themselves to lead their church’s Lifeword Sunday efforts, you are so appreciated! The success of Lifeword Sunday truly depends on your leadership.

“And to the all BMA pastors who allow Lifeword to be a part of the Great Commission strategy of your church, we say ‘God Bless You!’ It is an honor to be a part of your church’s global mission effort.”
