Jimmie attended BBC as a youth and was baptized on August 5, 1950 in Greenbrier Creek at the age of 14. His parents, Ava & W. Lester Stewart along with his siblings; Esther, Una Mae, Bill and Jerry, attended BBC. He left BBC for a time and when he returned in 1980, he was a leader of the Galilean program (discipleship group for boys age 4th-12th), a teacher in Children’s church and Vacation Bible School. He coached youth baseball many years. The church baseball field is named after him. Jimmie passed away at the age of 53. His legacy continues on at BBC with family still attending. His family remembers his faithfulness to his church and his study of the Bible. He also enjoyed rabbit and deer hunting, gardening and doing small engine repair.
