Missionaries to Romania Newsletter

A lot has happened…What in the world happened to the Risners and their Newsletters? Our writer (Melody), Lindsey, and Landon graduated high school in Romania and moved back to America. It is one of many gaps we have had since our kids graduated and moved back to the States. We enjoyed having them home for Christmas and have missed them dearly since they returned back to America (hard for me to call it their home).

In addition to Christmas ministry responsibilities and festivities, we celebrated New Year’s together, the twin’s 19th birthday, and my (Pam’s 41st) birthday.
Below: The Kid’s Graduated
After a lot of stress, blood, sweat and mostly tears all the kids have graduated high school (homeschool) and have returned to the States for college at Central Baptist College.
They are now in their second semester.
Below: Lindsey was baptized Lindsey publicly professed her faith in Jesus Christ while in Romania. After thinking she was saved as a young girl, she now has full confidence as a young lady.

Lindsey and Landon celebrate their 19th Birthday with their friends here. It was bittersweet for all of them.

There is something special about missionaries serving other missionaries. We spent a week serving the Quillmans and their ministry in Zambia. Not sure who received the greater blessing, us or them.
A special newsletter coming soon.

Thanks to a generous sponsorship, all of our gypsy children in our two communities received new shoes and a Christmas gift.

We are very blessed with young adults’ attendance and involvement at Agape church.

We are a big, small group of 23 members. Our weekly attendance averages 18-20. As spiritual parents, our goal is to check in regularly throughout the week and encourage our group to read and study scripture.Below: Children’s Christmas Program Is there anything sweeter than a children’s Christmas play? These kids worked hard and did a terrific job.
